Doctor Dashboard Overview

Your dashboard is the central hub of your ExpertMD experience. It provides an at-a-glance view of your practice activity, pending actions, earnings, and key metrics. This guide walks you through every section of the dashboard so you can get the most out of it.

Accessing the dashboard

After signing in, you land on your dashboard by default. You can return to it at any time by clicking Dashboard in the left sidebar navigation.

Stats cards

At the top of your dashboard, you will find a row of summary stats cards. These give you an instant snapshot of your practice activity:

Active Cases

The number of cases currently in progress. Click to navigate directly to your cases list.

Pending Requests

Intake requests that are awaiting your review. Click to go to the pre-screening requests page.

Unpaid Invoices

Invoices you have sent that have not yet been paid. Click to view your invoices list.

Total Earnings

Your total earnings across all paid invoices on the platform, after the 2% platform fee.
Each stats card is clickable and takes you to the relevant section of the platform for a detailed view.

Notification center

The notification bell icon in the top navigation bar shows a badge count of your unread notifications. Click it to open the notification panel, which displays recent activity such as:
  • New intake requests — An attorney has submitted an intake request through your form
  • Invoice payments — An attorney has paid one of your invoices
  • Case updates — New documents uploaded, appointments scheduled, or notes added to a case
  • Payment reminders — Automated or manual reminders sent for overdue invoices
  • Team member activity — A team member has joined or performed an action
Review your notifications regularly. Intake requests have a time-sensitive nature, and prompt responses improve your acceptance rate with attorneys.

Notification preferences

You can configure which notifications you receive and how you receive them by navigating to Settings > Notifications. Options include:
  • In-app notifications — Always enabled, shown in the notification panel
  • Email notifications — Receive email alerts for important events like new requests and payments

Charts and analytics

The dashboard includes visual charts that help you track your practice performance over time.

Earnings chart

A line chart showing your earnings over the selected time period. You can toggle between:
  • Last 7 days — Daily earnings for the past week
  • Last 30 days — Daily earnings for the past month
  • Last 12 months — Monthly earnings for the past year
The chart shows gross earnings (before the 2% platform fee) as well as net earnings. Hover over any data point to see the exact amount for that period.

Case activity chart

A bar chart showing case-related activity over time, including:
  • New cases accepted
  • Cases completed
  • Intake requests received
This helps you identify trends in your workload and plan accordingly.

Intake conversion rate

A simple metric showing what percentage of intake requests you have accepted versus rejected. A high conversion rate signals to the platform that you are responsive and selective.

Referral card

If you are enrolled in the referral program, a referral card appears on your dashboard showing:
  • Your referral link — A unique URL you can share with colleagues
  • Total referrals — How many people have signed up using your link
  • Earnings from referrals — Total platform fee commissions earned through referrals
  • Copy link button — One-click copy of your referral URL

The referral program pays you 25% of the platform fees generated by each person you refer, for 12 months from their sign-up date. See the Referral Program guide for details.

Dashboard best practices

1

Check your dashboard daily

Start each work session by reviewing your dashboard. Check for new intake requests, unpaid invoices, and any notifications that require your attention.
2

Respond to intake requests promptly

Attorneys often reach out to multiple experts. Responding quickly to intake requests increases your chances of being selected for a case.
3

Monitor your earnings

Use the earnings chart to track your monthly revenue. If you notice a decline, consider updating your intake form, adjusting your rates, or reaching out to your attorney network.
4

Keep your profile current

An up-to-date profile with accurate specialty information and credentials helps attorneys find and trust you.

Troubleshooting

Stats cards show zero

If your stats cards all show zero, this is normal for new accounts. As you receive intake requests, accept cases, and create invoices, these numbers will update automatically.
